Dear Parents & Carers,
It is still a very busy time in school at the minute with lots of learning going on. Please keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter feed on the school website to see what exciting learning is happening in your child’s class.
Report Card
Your child should have come home with a Report card which has taken the place of our traditional Parents Evening. It is has been designed to be a simple, clear report of all the topics which your child’s teacher will have talked to you about at the beginning of term. At the bottom, there are a few gentle reminders for you which relate to your child’s class such as PE days, Bug Club, My Maths etc. The Report Card will not have the traditional general comment that the end of year report would normally have.
If you wish to speak to your child’s teacher about their report card, please ring the school office and ask for an appointment to do so. Your child’s teacher will then arrange a suitable time with you. Thank you.
Attendance & Punctuality
Although we are still under lockdown, it is important that we try and make sure that attendance and punctuality remain excellent. We are having a number of children arriving late (for their class time) and this is disrupting their learning as they are arriving late to class. It is also essential that the children are only off school for illness or isolation. I know we are in the traditional season for colds, but if I could ask for your support in ensuring the children are in school when they can be and on time for their class. Thank you for your support in this.
Children In Need
It has not escaped our attention that Children In Need is happening today. The children have had activities in their class today to raise their awareness of this important charity. It’s hard to believe it has been going for 40 years. Alongside other senior leaders, we decided not to ask for a donation as we have had two fundraisers this term already and did not want to put any extra pressure on anyone. However, if you wish to make a donation, you can do tonight during the show! I will certainly be watching later and have fun watching if you are as well.
I wish everyone a lovely weekend.
With very best wishes,
Mr Perkins
