Home Learning

Home Learning will consist of the following platforms:

Times Table Rockstars (TT Rockstars)

Fluency with times tables is extremely important in Maths - they are used in many different aspects of Maths, and the more that you can quickly recall, the easier it is when doing more complicated questions. We've used TT Rockstars in school for years, the children greatly enjoy it - and like to see if they can beat their own time (or even try and race toward the top of the leaderboard)!

Children also have access to Numbots, which focuses on more basic maths skills such as counting, adding etc and is suitable for Year 1 up. Numbots and TT Rockstars share the same login details - so if you have access to one, you have access to the other! It's great for building speed and fluency with the basics of Maths, and it's useful all the way up the school, even in Y6.

If your child can't remember their username and password, contact their class teacher who can inform you.

Bug Club

Bug Club is an online system of reading books that can be matched to your child's reading ability. As well as reading, Bug Club also focuses on the comprehension (understanding) aspect to make sure that your children can understand what they are reading about - a very important life skill!

If your child doesn't know their username and password, please contact their class teacher.

If you are experiencing difficulties using Bug Club on either an iPad or an iPhone, here is the solution:

1. Go to the settings on your device.

2. Click Safari in the Settings page.

3. Make sure "block pop-ups" is turned off.

4. Make sure "prevent cross-site tracking" is turned off.

5. Make sure "block all cookies" is turned off.

If you then go back into Safari, it should now work.

MyMaths

We're setting Maths homework this year through MyMaths, which provides Maths activities online aimed at national curriculum objectives.

If you need help with login information, please contact your child's class teacher.
