Dear Parents & Carers,
Update from Mr Perkins
Hello everyone, I hope everyone is okay even in this unseasonal weather we've had this week. It has been another busy time in school as we begin our end of term learning and assessments. Just a little reminder about our Covid procedures. Please make sure that you wear a mask on the playground (unless exempt), socially distance and only arrive at school at your designated time. Also, just a reminder, that any previous information about lifting restrictions is no longer our plan - we are staying with our current operation until the end of the summer term.
We will be holding our Covid safe Sports Day next Thursday morning. Could I ask that all children come in their PE kit on Thursday 1st July? Miss Holdsworth has spent a long time as our PE lead ensuring everyone has an excellent Sports Day whilst still working within the Covid guidelines. Each class bubble will only compete with children within their bubble. If you have any questions, please see your child's classteacher. Naturally, the one thing we can not control is the weather! Hopefully - fingers crossed - the weather will be kind, but if not, we have a reserve day planned before the end of term.
You should have received a letter with the class structure for the next academic year. Planning for classes does take my senior leaders and I a long time and a lot of thought goes into making the decisions we have. If you have any questions regarding this, please make an appointment to come and talk them through with me.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Storage of Bikes
Any children storing bikes or scooters at school should store them in the bike racks by the Nursery building. To keep the children safe no bikes or scooters should be ridden on the playground at any time.
Nursery places
St Helen’s Local Authority online application system has now opened for the January, April and September 2022 nursery intakes. Further information is on the Council's social media platforms. If you would like any further details please speak to the school office.
Walking home alone
Only pupils from years 5 and 6 are allowed to leave school at the end of the day without an adult. Permission in writing must have been given before the children will be allowed to leave school alone. Please speak to the office if you have any concerns.
The Launch of ParentPay has been a success however, we still need more people to activate their accounts by July 16th. As you will be aware, by September 2021, the school will be a cash-free environment.
If you need your unique ParentPay Account activation detail’s they can be found on a letter which was sent out w/c 3rd May. If you no longer have this letter, the staff in the office can issue it. The team in the office can also help you with any enquires to assist with ParentPay.
There is also a user-friendly video on the Willow Tree home page which gives step by step guidance on how to use the new ParentPay application.
Breakfast Club and After School Club
All sessions from 27/6/21 will have to be booked on the ParentPay website. You will no longer be able to book places at the office. Bookings will need to be made by the end of the day on the Friday for the following week’s sessions.
