Dear Parents & Carers,
Update from Mr Perkins
Hello everyone! I hope you are all keeping well in this topsy turvy weather that we are having now. I sent out a letter earlier this week which explained my recommendations following the emergence of the new variant Omicron. I am keeping a close watch on how this is developing and I may have to bring in further restrictions to ensure that our school community remains safe for the remainder of the term and over the Christmas break (which is fast approaching).
As you are aware, we are planning to have two performances for EYFS and KS1 and two performances for KS2. Currently, we are still planning for these performances to go ahead. However, as I originally explained, I will not confirm this until 10th December and I wish to make you aware that I may have to move them online or finally cancel them.
I am hopeful that we will be able to celebrate Christmas as planned. However, my overriding concern will be the safety of our entire school community - children, parents, and staff - as we move towards the end of term. I appreciate your support so far throughout the pandemic and I hope I will be able to count on your support if things change.
Have a lovely weekend!

Year 5 - Geography Topic - Sow, Grow and Farm
After Christmas, in Year 5, our next geography topic will be 'Sow, Grow and Farm.' To provide a memorable experience we would like to take the children to visit a local allotment to see what goes on there and talk to allotment holders about what can be grown. If anyone has an allotment in the local area (or knows somebody who has one), please could you contact Miss Haslam or Mrs Ware so that we can arrange a visit. Thanks!
Craft Sale
Weather permitting, Mrs Haunch will be running a tabletop sale again, every morning next week before school, on the Reception playground. There are lots of lovely craft materials which will keep the children busy!
