Death of Queen Elizabeth 2nd
School were all saddened to hear the news yesterday of the death of our Queen. We will be talking to the children about her life and celebrating it.

Welcome back to school. The children look smart and have had a great first week back.
I hope you have found the new dates for the school year helpful and the new school diary.
School is aware of the financial challenges at the moment. The school uniform policy states that a school tie should be worn with a white shirt from Year 3. Next time you are buying uniform, a tie would be preferable but your child will not be penalised for not having a tie at the moment. They can still get a tick for the GAIN weekly award.
Plain black jogging pants can be worn for PE if your child does not have the school tracksuit bottoms.
Please note- long hair needs to be tied back for PE, for safety reasons and jewellery is not permitted. A copy of the school uniform policy can be found on the school website.
A little reminder about the GAIN Award. Well done to all the children who have :

Next week your teachers will be sending out homework tasks for children to complete. This will be one of the items on the GAIN award.
Tuesday 13th September 3.30pm- Meet The Teacher.
There will be an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher on Tuesday at 3.30pm for an informal meeting. This will not be individual appointments, more of a welcome and information sharing session. We look forward to seeing you in school.
Summer Fair- Our summer was a great success- we raised over £500 towards school fund. This will be used for paying for coaches for trips and school events. Thank you for your support.
