Good afternoon,
We are proud to say some of our Year 5 children represented the school in an inter- Dodgeball competition this week. Although, we didn’t win, it was our first tournament, the children were excellent ambassadors.
Reception – Maths Games Afternoon- Wednesday 18th January -2pm
We are delighted to invite Reception parents to join us for some number games and advice on how to help your child with maths. Come along and join us!
Chester Zoo- Friday 27th January
We will be taking all the school to Chester Zoo on Friday 27TH January, as we negotiated a reduced price for entry and transport.
Year 1
Mrs Fairhurst has been ordered to attend Jury Service starting Monday 9th January for two weeks. Mrs Bayliss, an experienced Year 1 teacher, will be covering the class.. She has met the children and Mrs Fairhurst in preparation. As Mrs Fairhurst will be absent, we have post-poned the Y1 class assembly to Friday 17th March.
After School Clubs:
School will be starting a range of after school clubs commencing Monday 16th January. Please complete the reply slips and return to the office. *Please note- some clubs are on a first come, first served basis.
Young Voices Choir
The KS2 Choir will be going to the Young Voices concert on Wednesday 1st February. A consent letter will be sent out early next week. If any parents would like to watch the concert, tickets are available directly from the AO Arena box office or via TicketMaster (see arena website for details). School would like to take the opportunity to thank a local businessman, The Barn at Inglenook Farm in Rainford, for a generous contribution towards the cost of the coach for this event.
