Year 6 Careers Fair
During the summer term we will be holding a careers fair for Year 6 children. This is a great opportunity for the children to chat to people about their line of work and possibly something they can aspire to for the future. If any parents or carers are willing to give up an hour one morning to come into school to talk to the children individually about their work we would be very grateful. There will be desks set up in the hall for you to chat to the children and they will have the opportunity to ask questions. If you would be willing to come into school please give the school office a call.
Safety Around School
There have been incidents of electric scooters and bikes being ridden on school premises. This is a real cause for concern and puts the children at risk of injury. If you come to school on an electric bike/scooter it must NOT be ridden on school grounds.
Children coming to school on a bike or scooter must not ride them at the school gates or on school premises. If a child does not dismount and rides a bike or scooter on the premises they will be banned from bringing their bike to school for a week and if there is a second incident they will receive a total ban on bringing a bike onto school grounds. Please help us to ensure all children are safe and talk to your child if they bring a bike or scooter to school.
Summer Festival 27th June
Any suitable unwanted gifts/items that you could donate for the stalls at the Summer Festival would be really appreciated. Please drop them off at school when convenient for you.
A Fond Farewell
A huge thank you to Mrs Paris and Mrs Fairhurst for all their hard work working at Willow Tree. We will miss them but wish them well for the future.
From September we welcome Mr Macdonald who is joining our staff.
Miss Vickers and Mrs Sullivan are already with us as Teaching Assistants but from September they will be class teachers.
New Reception Class Meeting
There will be a meeting on Tuesday 25th at 5.30 to provide parents with important information regarding their child starting school in September.
